Project Manager

Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within the organization. This role involves coordinating resources, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and effective communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.

Resource Management: Coordinate and allocate resources effectively, including team members, tools, and budget, to ensure project milestones are met.

Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders regularly, ensuring their expectations are managed and aligned with project goals.

Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address them proactively.

Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, controlling costs and ensuring financial resources are utilized efficiently to meet project objectives.

Team Leadership: Lead project teams, fostering collaboration and motivation, while providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and accountability.

Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements through regular reviews, testing, and validation processes.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and lessons learned, to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Agile Methodologies: Utilize Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, to manage project workflows and adapt to changing requirements effectively.

Post-Project Review: Conduct post-project evaluations to assess project outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices for future projects.

Education:

Minimum B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Project Manager in IT, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar certification is preferred.
