Seeking an experienced professional to develop and maintain AtScale semantic layers, aligning OLAP cubes with Snowflake data models for optimized querying and reporting. The role involves performance tuning, data governance, and close collaboration with Data Engineers and BI Developers to ensure seamless integration with tools like Power BI.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the AtScale semantic layer to model business data in a way that is optimized for querying and reporting.
Collaborate with Data Engineers and BI Developers to ensure alignment between the AtScale cubes and the Snowflake data models.
Design and implement OLAP cubes to support fast querying and reporting for business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI).
Work on performance tuning and optimization of AtScale cubes for large datasets.
Implement best practices for data governance, ensuring that the semantic layer is accurate, consistent, and aligned with business requirements.
Provide training and documentation on the semantic layer and its use in reporting tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the semantic layer, ensuring seamless integration with Snowflake and BI tools.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience with AtScale or similar semantic layer tools
Strong knowledge of OLAP cubes, data modeling, and multidimensional data structures.
Familiarity with Snowflake and its integration with business intelligence tools like Power BI.
Ability to optimize the performance of data queries through proper cube and data model design.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple teams to ensure the semantic layer meets business needs.
Experience with data governance and ensuring data accuracy across systems.
