We are seeking an experienced Data Catalog Analyst with 4-6 years of experience to develop, implement, and maintain a data catalog, ensuring it accurately reflects the organization's data assets. Responsibilities include supporting data governance, data quality, and data stewardship using MDM tools, collaborating with stakeholders to document metadata and data lineage, conducting regular audits, providing training to users, and integrating the data catalog with other tools. The role requires strong knowledge of MDM tools, data governance practices, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain the data catalog to ensure it accurately reflects the organization's data assets.
Utilize MDM tools to support data governance, data quality, and data stewardship initiatives.
Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, and other stakeholders to define and document metadata, data lineage, and data definitions.
Ensure data catalog entries are up-to-date, complete, and compliant with data governance policies.
Conduct regular audits and quality checks on the data catalog to identify and address discrepancies.
Provide training and support to users of the data catalog to promote effective data usage and data literacy.
Work closely with IT and data management teams to integrate the data catalog with other data management and analytics tools.
Generate reports and insights from the data catalog to support data-driven decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data management or related roles.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools.
Experience in developing and maintaining data catalogs.
Proficiency in data governance, data quality, and data stewardship practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
