As senior engineer in Retail IT Operations team you will work together with stakeholders from architecture, application development teams to assure that our applications and IT services are working stable. You will monitor and develop infrastructure solutions that allow for high-availability and low latency across the globe and follow-up with your team and stakeholders for timely delivery.
You will work on a wide range of technological solutions ranging from cloud infrastructure (AWS), infrastructure-as-code (GitHub), deployments (Kubectl, Helm), to monitoring (Dynatrace) and incident management (ServiceNow).
You will be part of a global operations team located in Austria, Spain and India. Your customers will be in various time zones across the globe including Asia and central Europe.
What will make you succeed in this position?
Experience in incident management and resolution. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
Ability to be take part in or lead on-call duties to provide support during our customer's business hours in a different time zone.
Knowledge of AWS and respective services (RDS, EKS, Elasticache).
Experience with common CI/CD Tools GitHub, Jenkins, IaC best-practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, NodeJS) and automation tools to streamline insurance operations on the cloud.
Familiarity with security best practices and implementing robust security controls to protect sensitive insurance data.
Knowledge of insurance pricing solutions (e.g. WTW RadarLive) and leadership experience would be a plus.
Your mission in the role will be:
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define DevOps strategies and best practices.
Monitor and optimize the performance of our cloud infrastructure and services, identifying and resolving any performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal efficiency and responsiveness.
Design and develop cloud-based solutions, considering scalability, security, and regulatory compliance requirements specific to the insurance industry.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to our cloud infrastructure, services, and applications.
Keep up to date with the latest cloud technologies, security practices, and industry trends in the insurance domain, making recommendations for improvements, cost reductions, and innovation.
