JOB SUMMARY:
Candidate must have excellent knowledge of at least one programming language with relevant work experience is desirable. The ideal candidate usually involves in writing specifications and designing, building, testing, implementing and sometimes supporting applications using desired programming languages and development tools.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Create automation, employ open-source software, interact with API’s, and enable CI/CD to create new cloud features, harvest/visualize metrics, monitor health/performance/capacity, etc.
Partner with product and development teams to provide education and design consultation.
Support development teams to migrate applications to Kubernetes based container platform.
Design specifications for high availability and highly scalable applications which will be used by Dell Internal application teams.
Assist in crafting the strategic technical and architectural direction to the programming function.
SKILLS :
The candidate should have an experience with Java and Go programming language.
Must have experience developing app using Spring Framework such as Spring Boot, Spring Security and Spring MVC.
Basic Knowledge with data binding concepts of MVC like Angular, Knockout and JQuery.
Understanding of REST and JSON.
Experience with Golang, Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, Service mesh (Istio), NGINX Ingress, Helm Chart.
Experience & working knowledge with Kubernetes, containers, Kubernetes networking, Certificates, Kubernetes storage, Kubernetes monitoring/observability, Bash scripting, Kubernetes RBAC, Container/pod security.
Experience in automation of platforms by using any automated tools is a plus.
Experience using common Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring and Hibernate.
Knowledge about Operator SDK/use of Fabric8 API (For Java Develop).
Additional Requirements:
Agile methodology experience – SCRUM.
Experience or knowledge of Eclipse based IDE's – STS, GitHub, Subversion and Maven.
Documenting techniques using Wiki.
CoreJAVA, Collections, JAVA8 features, Springboot with Rest API, Minimum 2yr of exp in Kubernetes.
