Job Title Purpose :
First Line Managers/Supervisors/Individual Contributors who are fully competent in advanced techniques/procedures and responsible for the delivery of varied technical and professional activities. Additionally, supervise a team of entry level project managers, undertaking a wide range of complicated practical Agile Delivery tasks which require understanding of underlying principles. Provides professional know-how to enhance the knowledge and skill base of the organization. Responsible for coaching, guiding and mentoring junior team members.
Job Responsibilities:
Planning, executing, and monitoring project activities to meet objectives.
Defining project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
Manage potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them by monitoring risk factors, creating risk management plans, and coordinating the resolution of issues.
Coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ensuring projects are delivered within deadlines and budget, and meet quality standards.
Acting as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, ensuring communication with team members and stakeholders (while meeting client needs).
Make critical decisions throughout the project lifecycle by evaluating options, weighing risks and benefits, and considering input from team members and stakeholders.
Track and report project performance against predefined metrics, taking corrective actions if necessary to ensure the project is up to date and project documentation is accurately recorded.
Supporting and educating the Digital Services Product Owner, Business Analysts especially with respect to maintaining the Digital Service product backlog.
Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving.
Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
Monitor and report on key Agile performance metrics to leadership team.
Work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines, quickly learn new concepts as necessary.
Communicate clearly with business users and project manager.
Investigate and analyse information and to draw conclusions.
Qualifications :
Project Management Certification - Preferred
Solid knowledge of project management methodologies, project management software, and project management tools.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree and 6+ years of Project Manager experience.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools like MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks like Kanban, Scrum, XP, etc.
Good skills to coach team how to follow agile (Kanban)Understand the basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
Strong knowledge of Kanban theory, rules and practices.
Good understanding of Agile practices: User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
Experience in using JIRA is a strong preference.
Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills.
A strong work ethic, with good attention to detail.
Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
Previous work experience in Capital markets/Commercial Banking - preferred.
Know about the value of metrics and incremental delivery.
Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, , user stories etc.
Familiar with common development practices, Service oriented environments, Microservices.
Project Management, Agile Methodology, PMP, Planning, Executing, Estimation, JIRA.
